I Will Build My Church

A Message about COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

As many of you have been following the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we want you to know that we hold our church family’s health as a top priority.  It is our desire to be sensitive to our congregation, and to let you know about some of the precautions and changes we are implementing in an effort to minimize the potential exposure to our church family.  We believe we should be practical and prayerful.

PRACTICAL

Matthew 10:16b Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

We need to be wise about the potential exposure to our people especially those who are at higher risk.  Our cleaning people who already do a great job, will be putting in more time diligently cleaning high touch areas and all nursery toys between every service.  We need to make sure we are hand washing on a regular basis.  We should be wise in the way we greet each other in the upcoming weeks and avoid physical contact as much as possible.  We will have hand sanitizer around the auditorium and will be encouraging all to use it.  We will not be passing around offering plates but will have an usher with an offering plate at each door at the end of the service.  If you have any symptoms or immune deficiencies, please take advantage of our services through Facebook LIVE.

PRAYERFUL
Philippians 4:6 Be [anxious] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let you requests be made known unto God.

We need not be anxious in this time, however we should take this matter to the Lord and pray for our church family.  We should not let the spirit of fear rule the way we live or speak about this topic.  We should be salt and light, and we should look for opportunities to share our confidence and faith in our great God.  Thanks for being a part of our church family; it is a pleasure to be your pastor.

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be always ready to give an answer of the hope that is in you in meekness and [reverence].

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
